Why Rent in Alaska?
Alaska is the largest state in the United States, and is very much separated from the rest of the States. Alaska is close to Canada, and was actually purchased from Russia. Alaska is the place to buy land if one is looking to “get away from it all”. Alaska is the least populous state in the entire United States, and this is largely due to the cold climate.
Surrounded by the Arctic and Pacific oceans, Alaska is a great mass of land that is largely covered with many beautiful and varied landscapes. Much of the state is dedicated to wild life, being that it is covered with gorgeous rivers, lakes, forests, glaciers, bays, shorelines, islands, volcanoes, marshlands, peaks, and valleys. South central Alaska is where most of the population resides. Alaska is also one of our main oil and gas reserves. It also brings in quite a bit of tourism each year as well.
Many people that enjoy the cold climates choose to buy property in Anchorage, Juneau (the state capital), Fairbanks, and College. There are several smaller cities that surround these areas with 10,000 or less people. Alaska is a beautiful and remote place to find some great land property deals. Many buy houses rather than rent, since residents don’t want to leave once they settle into the beauty of Alaska. Check out our houses for rent in Alaska.
