The 57th Street plaza is given over to retail and the building's main entrance on 58th Street has its own driveway. Neither plaza contributes significantly to the urban street-scape, but zoning regulations at the time of its construction permitted the developer to erect a taller building and many apartments have impressive views of Central Park one block to the north. The 34-story building has a garage and many balconies, but is rather lackluster in appearance. It was erected in 1969 and converted to a condominium in 1984. The balconies are rather unusual as their sides are concave curves, a nice touch.
